Topic: Received My DS Computer! Pics included! Posted: 25 Jan 2008 at 12:13pm |
Hi all!
I tried to post my review in the proper forum, but it tells me I don't have the authority to create a new topic.
Anyway:
I ordered my computer on 12/12/2007. I received the computer on 01/24/2008. I expected to wait about a month for the rig to be built, tested and shipped. Although it took extra time, I was constantly kept updated by Dave. He responded to all of my emails (I sent about 20) within a couple hours of sending and provided excellent customer support. Alex and Duke were also very helpful towards the end of the process.
The box arrive on 01/24/2008, a day earlier than projected by UPS, which was a major suprise for me, since in NYC they are generally late. The box was in great shape- no dents, holes, nothing. The computer was packed very well.
I took the computer out of the case and proceeded to hook it up- it booted in record time to windows desktop without any issues. I've tried playing crysis and WoW so far- both run amazingly. I can run wow at 2560x1600 with everything maxed without any lag at all. I can run crysis on high setting at 1920x1200 4x aa without any lag. I'll post FPS at some point later.
In generally, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I was becoming a bit frusterated at the delay towards the end, but it was definitly worth the wait. There is a lot more detail I could put into this post and I will work on a much better review for resellerratings.com- but for now I have to get back to work!

nice system. Yeah i got a problem with my ultra case, running 2 8800 GT in SLI. The bottom one runs too hot because the sound card is like a quarter inch below it blocking the air flow, i prob should have gotten some liquid cooling like yourself |

Intresting setup, we have very similar systems... your liquid cooling is much different than mine though. Is there another radiator hiding I cant see? |

This system has 2 Extreme Radiators, 1 radiator installed on top of the case to make the CPU cooler, and 1 radiator installed on the back panel to make both video cards cooler.

That's a "balls to the walls" system!
Props to you!
Now I want a pair of 8800 Gt's for like $150. Who can help?
