I upgraded a GTX770 to a GTX1070 and doubled my performance. If you have a 780, look at the 1070 or even a 1080, imho.

Depends on what resolution you're driving with that video. At 1080p, you could get by with a 1060 6GB, which will max out most games, but not all. The 1070 would kill everything at that res.

For 1440p your best bet is the new RTX 2070. It performs a tad better than a GTX 1080, and has the new features for the future. Of course, the 2080 would be better in every way, but would be more than you really need. At a $350 premium or so, it would be a marginal upgrade IMHO.

looking for something so that I won't have to upgrade for a few years. I been looking at a few comparison between the GTX 1080 TI vs RTX 2070...haven't looked up the 2080 yet. Thanks!!
