I have been thinking about improving my passwords. I know there are programs that will generate complex passwords and manage them for you. Any thoughts?

I always just use "incorrect" as my password... for everything. That way if I forget most programs will remind me... "Your password is incorrect." ... Saves me lots of time and grief.

of course I'm kidding!

Now, seriously, the password manager I've been using is bundled with my avast! antivirus. Quite handy. I'm sure there are better ones out there.

 LOL
Snaike, I like it. Wonder how many people use that one.

@smfcpa: depends who you want to keep out. If they are serious you will need some serious encryption. For normal use, the longer the stream of characters the harder to break. At least that's how I do it. I have a 12 character formula that to me is easy to remember.

I tried out a password manager recently, and it mucked up when I used more than one browser. Would have been great if I was all on one browser/e-mail I guess, but I've been around too long. Like hoser, I've got a pretty secure cypher of my own.
