My budget is 300$

I am currently thinking about the dell ultrasharps u2312hm. What do you think is the best monitor for this price range?

That's the one I'm getting. Well, that or the U2412M. Depends on how my bank account recovers after my DS purchase xD

The Ultrasharps have been recommended a lot around here, they've gotten great reviews and come with a 3 year warranty. Also they are IPS panel, so great quality color, contrast, etc. Can be used for gaming or photoshop type things. :)

I have not used the U2312hm or the U2412M. I do have a U2410 IPS, and can say that it is a great monitor for gaming and photo editing. After owning an IPS I could nor go back to the TFT monitors. Once you have a nice IPS you are spoiled.
