A friend of mine is thinking of buying a new rig. The vendor he insists on going with does not give him an affordable option in a SSD so he has elected to go with a 500gb hybrid drive.
My question is how stable or dependable are the hybrid drives. It does not state the drives manufacturer in the options. As always thank you for your time and the willingness to pass on your knowledge. I feel like i've learned a ton in my short time reading through these forums.

Dont waste money on hybrid drives.
just get a cheap single hdd now (cause right now hdd prices are very high) and then add ssd later as hdd1. tell your friend be careful, having a pc built for you is nothing easy, the builders that cost less means you are getting crappy parts/build that will be a headache later, specially after the Hybrid recommendation from them, that is a red flag to me. intel 320 120GB right now is $199, thats a damn good price.
