Topic: Remote won't change lighting effects on rgb strip. Posted: 06 Sep 2019 at 2:23pm |
Hello I just received my Lumos which came with the rgb lighting strip. I love the system so far however for some reason my remote won't change the lighting effects no matter where I point it at. I know the remote is working and the led strip was on when i first started the system.

My new Lynx system fan lighting & RGB LED strip are not effected by the remote control either. Does anyone know where the IR receiver sensor is located? (I'm guessing on the front of the case, but I can't find it)

I checked the CR2025 battery in the remote and it measured ~2.85V - After replacing it the remote works! However, I'd still like some sort of directions on using it! **Also: I only had a CR2032 on hand. Same voltage & diameter but slightly thicker. It slid in no problem.

Cycle through the over 300 combinations to your heart's content. When you find a scheme you like, this is how you lock it in for when you power off your rig:
Remote Control MODE -> LOCK -> POWER (OFF) --> POWER (ON) * above POWER refers to remote power button not system power button Once I perform those sequences on a power cycle the RGB settings hold. Hope it works for you! |

Mine didn't come plugged in? Does this go to the mono or the psu?

Hmmm, sorry about that. Definitely would plug into the motherboard just like a fan header. See if you find an open receptacle nearby. Be sure you are grounded, and its always a good idea to unplug your system from the wall. After you unplug, press and hold the power on button for several seconds to discharge capacitors on the motherboard. This is all very precautionary, but safe. Good luck.
If you can't figure this out, call DS support and they will walk you through it on the phone. |

Most RGB light strings should have a small control module box they would plug into on one end.

So much for the QA stage...mine isn't working either so I plan to open up the case soon and see if it's a plugin issue.
