CryThis past week NVIDIA sent me  recommendations to up load or upgrade, my video drivers. In this particular case these Drivers had to deal with 3-D vision.
Unfortunately I did just that!  Now, it's playing hell with virtually every software program that uses my video card.  As an example I have the complete Photoshop CS five, along with a few plug-ins from a group called Nic software.  Several of those programs use a video card, and right now I'm unable to use any portion of the program whatsoever.  It comes up as a big black box and nothing more.  I've also discovered, that many of the Windows display themes and 3-D screensaver is also corrupt.
I've tried using Windows system restore, twice( before the drivers were downloaded and installed) and that too failed!
the system is far more important for me to operate Photoshop Van it is to play games in 3-D or any game for that matter!
Does anybody have any idea how to purge those drivers out of the system?

Are you sure its not that the install of new drivers where not correct or something got corrupt?

how did you install the new drivers? did you first uninstall the old ones?

if you just need the older drivers you have, just uninstall the current and install the old one:

find older drivers here

but I would first do a clean install of new drivers before I go back to old.

DST4Me....... Thanks for the reply! I Do believe your idea, about doing a clean install on video drivers might very be the best solution at this point! Will be removing the old & complete refresh as a project of the day on Monday. Will post back, one way or the other on how, all this weeds itself out.
