I have a used DS Triton. Great computer. I have a few broken keys and was wondering if I should just replace the broken keys or replace the whole keyboard. For either, I am not able to find specifics on the keyboard manufacturer. Anyone know where I could get replacement parts? DS shipping alone would be over $100, and I think its an easy fix. Its 2 months out of warranty :(

I would replace the keyboard if you wish to keep the laptop. The Digital Storm Triton is based off the Clevo P650SE. Here is a teardown video of the Clevo:

You can find keyboards online for around $45.

Thanks so much for the reply. I found the replacement keyboard you mentioned and really appreciate the added "how to" video! Yes, this seems well within my skillset, so hope to order it and be back to using the machine without issue shortly.

Bummer, the keyboard was not exactly right, but in taking apart the DS, I could locate the model number for the kb right on it. Dumb, I should have done that in the first place.

Anyone know where I could order a replacement keyboard? All the places I found were in China and looking at significant delays due to CV.

I wonder if DS would just sell me one.

I saw another offer on Amazon but that is delayed possibly until June. Your best bet is getting a used keyboard.

Unfortunately, the one on EBAY is not quite right, the pegs are not in the right place (same issue I had when I bought the "wrong" one). So, looks like ordering from China and waiting 2 months might be my best option. In the meantime, it does work, just is a bit of a challenge with the small"alt" key to the right of the spacebar. Yes, I know I can use an external KB too.
