Getting ready to pull the trigger, likely on Black Friday. Any advice or insight will be appreciated. This is primarily a gaming machine, with standard home computer needs as well. My last DS machine, still in service, is now 11 years old and not really updateable. Not sure if the lumos case is the best one for this though.

Lumos is an excellent case for your build...I own a 2019 Lumos my son uses and it is plenty roomy, has great airflow, and no other case has the looks of the Corsair Crystal Series 570X in my opinion.
CPU....You will need to go Stage 2 OC to get best Overclocking on this new higher clocked Intel I9-9900KS 8-core 16-thread CPU. You have sufficient cooling. GPU...The RTX 2070 Super is the best all around mid-range GPU for strong 1080P resolution monitors at Ultra game settings, and good 1440P/2K Res monitors using high game settings. If you need better performance at 1440P/2K or want to use 4K Res monitors and game at high or better game settings, then upgrade to the better RTX 2080 Super, or the best for Ultra everything...RTX 2080 Ti. On the forum we do not recommend Overclocking GPU’s on air cooling alone. Not enough reward in performance for the added GPU heat & risk. If water cooling the GPU then we do recommend that GPU OC.. M.2.....Excellent choice, but if you want the fastest model use the newer Samsung Evo Plus M.2 NVME 1 TB SSD drive. Case fans....If you don’t upgrade, DS will install plain black budget level unlighted case fans with only a 1 yr system warranty. Upgrade to the better performance Corsair LL Series RGB fan kit or the top magnetic levitation bearing ML Series RGB fan kit and with both you get a Corsair fan control module used to synchronize all onboard and peripheral Corsair RGB LED equipped components and peripherals. The LL fans have 16 addressable RGB LED in two light rings for endless RGB designs and a two year Corsair warranty, while the ML have 4 addressable RGB LED and 5yr Corsair warranty. See what you think.... |

Tks for the input HB. will make the adjustments per your suggestion then. Thought the samsung extreme perf was the higher performer, nice to save $100 and get better performance from the nvme pro
