Hello everyone,

I am in the market for replacing a 4-year-old custom PC. Over the years, I got lazy and did not want to build a PC myself.   After looking at other custom PC companies, I do like some of the Digital Storm Aventum features. After going through the configuration wizard, I developed some questions and hoped they could be answered.

Digital Storm Aventum X (Config # 3667399)

1.     Is there a way to reverse the side panels? My setup requires the PC to be on the right side of the monitors.

2.     What’s up with the low clock memory speeds?
     a. Xidax has Trident 3600MHZ
     b. I would like to see 4000MHZ or higher speeds

3.     No liquid cooling for Memory? Xidax has it.

4.     Why are the hard drive prices high?
     a. 2TB Samsung 860 EVO
          i. Digital Storm - $346
          ii. Amazon - $199.99
     b. 2TB Seagate FireCuda 520
          i. Digital Storm-$447
          ii. Amazon - $359.99
     c. 4TB Samsung 860 PRO
          i. Digital Storm – $1021
          ii. Amazon - $700

5.     Why can’t we add more SSD drives? You sell an additional RAID card, but I can’t add other drives.
     a. My preference
          i. C drive = Raid 0
          ii. D drive = Raid 5 or Raid 6

6.     The MSI MEG X570 Godlike motherboard - Does it include the M.2 xpander-2 and the 10Gsuper lan cards?

7.     Why only the GeForce RTX 3090 can be liquid cooled? Why can’t the 3080?

8.     What’s up with the limited number of monitors?

9.     Do you include crapware in the OS?

The Configurator is for the AVERAGE user who comes here and wants to see what may be available.I t's not completely open-ended. Digital Storm is a Custom PC builder that can give you anything you want for a price. You can special order anything from virtually anywhere, and they will build into you PC...for a price.

There is NEVER any crapware shipped with a DS computer. Clean as a whistle.

The rest of your questions can easily be answered by DS sales/tech staff. We humble gamers don't actually know most of those answers specifically.

Order what ever RAM you want, they'll put it in there. If you don't like the drive prices, get 'em and put 'em in yourself like others of us do. Amazon doesn't install it and stress test it and painstakingly wire it for you, maybe?

You can add as many SSDs as you want, just not on the boilerplate configurator. You can also work with them to get your raid arrays.

IDK why you think the 3080 can't be liquid cooled.

DS is not a monitor vendor. They have a few merely for convenience. Perhaps they would rather not.

Don't be afraid to speak directly with them, it might surprise you that they know stuff.
