Budget:
~$2000

Expectations:
I currently have a Digital Storm X15E from 2012 which is my point of reference for this new system. I would like a lot of storage space and a lightweight, yet powerful machine. Preferably around 4lbs in weight as my current system at 7lbs is too heavy. I did look at the Equinox and provided my configuration below.

Usage:
Video storage and gaming (Shadow of War, No Man's Sky, Witcher 3, etc)

Configuration ID:
2013697

Extra Question:
Is the chassis material the same as that of the X15E? I've noticed that the chassis material, an almost rubbery matte feel, gets scratched up quite easily.

My X15E configuration is below, my point of reference:
Chassis Model: Digital Storm x15E Laptop (Model: 9150)
Display: 15.6 Inch (16:9) (Resolution: 1920 x 1080) (Glossy Surface) LED-Backlit Display
Processor: Intel Core i7 3610QM (2.3 GHz Turbo Mode to 3.3Ghz) (Quad Core) (6MB Cache)
Thermal Compound: Premium IC Diamond CPU and GPU Thermal Compound (Reduces Thermal & Laptop Noise)
Memory: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
Primary Hard Drive: Intel 240GB SSD (520 Series) (SATA 6Gb/s)
Secondary Hard Drive: - Not Available
Optical Drive: DVD/CD 8x Multi-Drive (Writes and Reads DVDs, CDs)
Wireless Card: Bigfoot Networks Killer Wireless-N 1202 (Reduces Latency for Online Gaming)
Video Card(s): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M 2GB with NVIDIA Optimus Technology
Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-Bit Edition)
Warranty Plan: Life-time Expert Customer Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty

I don’t have any hands on with the laptops, but the Equinox is built on the Sager 8955 if want to Google it for reviews.
