You about crushed it IMHO. We've never recommended the OS "tweak" as one person's tweak may be another's gimp, you just never know. it was much more a "thing" when ram was very expensive and 4 GB was huge. Back then, the RAM savings could be valuable. With 32GB, you might could light up Win 10 like a Christmas tree and never feel a thing.
If you like that sort of thing, the Internal Lighting strip is free. Just sayin'. Other than those niggles, you've got an excellent build IMO. |

Thanks Cretae. I made both changes as you suggested. New saved ticket is now 2904030. I was thinking about the 1000W Corsair power supply and the Corsair H2O cooling system, but looks like both these are not available? Again, thanks for taking time to help.

IDK about the new power supply lineup, but the 1000W would be overkill anyway. Plenty of overhead in the 850W. DS recently cited supply and support issues on the line of Corsair coolers. They tell us their brand comes from the very same factory, (Corsair doesn't make them) so it will be every bit as reliable. I'll miss the extra warranty, but it did come at quite a premium. |

I fiddled with the configurations a zillion times. So many different CPU's Motherboards, Memory, etc. Well was almost there and read more about AMD...
So, now I have a completely different configuration. I ordered it this morning so I hope it is a good fit. I could always call DS if there is something way out wrong. If you have a chance, check out config: 2909217 Thanks in advance for any input you may have. |

Great final build. You are going to be happy!! Don't worry about after buyer's remorse. I'm already planning a $2500 dollar upgrade in a few years that I will install myself!!

Considering gaming didn't make the cut in your usage list, the "luxury sedan" Ryzen CPU is likely more appropriate for you than a "high-octane sports car" 9900K. Paired with the mobo you picked, it will give you years of faithful heavy lifting. The 2060 SUPER is a great card at 1080p, and you can always put that on the upgrade list whenever you want.
Internal lighting? You can always turn it completely off. Comes with a remote. I agree you will be happy! |
