Hello everyone,
I'm in the market for a new pc, for gaming, surfing the net, & a little 3d modeling, which I've recently discovered is a lot of fun! I will admit I am waiting for nVidia's 9800x2 which I've read should be out this month. So the GPUs listed below are merely a place holder. I know some folks think the Physics Card is a waste of money but the one game I play often, use the Gambryo game engine, which is supposed to take advantage of the card. A few questions I do have: How easy/difficult will it be to add another QX9775 down the road? Can I merely put it in the 2nd socket or does it involve making other adjustments?... Does DSO offer or are you folks willing to put in 8GB of DDR3 at a faster speed than the DDR2 listed below? Thank you in advance for taking a peek at this for me! -RPG Copy of Specifications: Case: Digital Storm 950Si (Black Anodized Aluminum Finish) Power Supply: 850W SilverStone Decathlon (Dual SLI Compatible) (Model: DA850) (Silent) Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad QX9775 3.20GHz (1600MHz FSB) (Supports Skulltrail D5400XS Only) Motherboard: Intel Skulltrail D5400XS (Supports up to Two QX9775 Processors) V8 Platform Memory: 8GB DDR2 Corsair at 800MHz XMS2 (Dual Channel) (Extreme-Performance) Floppy / Card: Digital Media Card Reader (Black) Hard Drive 1: 320GB Western Digital (16MB Cache) (7200 RPM) (SATA) Hard Drive 2: - No Thanks Raid Option: - No Thanks Hard Drive 3: - No Thanks Optical Drive 1: BLU-RAY/DVD±R/RW/CD-R/RW (Blu-Ray 5x / DVD Writer 18x / CD-Writer 48x) Optical Drive 2: - No Thanks Network Card: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Video Card: 2x SLI Dual (nVidia GeForce 8800GTX 768MB (By: eVGA) (PCI-Express) TV Tuner: Pinnacle PCTV USB HD Pro Stick (HDTV, Video Recording, Video Capture) Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer (Recommended) Physics Card: Ageia PhysX P1 128MB Cooling: Air Cooled Stage 3 WindTunnel (Copper Heatpipe Heatsink & Zalman Case Fans) Case Lighting: Blizzard Internal Lighting (Blue Edition) (Cold Cathode Tubes) Round Cables: Enhanced Interior Air Flow (Optical Drive & Floppy Cables (Blue Cables) User Manual: Personalized Platinum Digital Storm Binder (Includes Paperwork/Benchmarks/CDs/Manuals) Overclock Processor: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my processor Overclock Video Card: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Overclock Memory: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my memory Tweak Windows: Yes, Disable and tweak all of the non-crucial services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium (64-Bit Edition) (For Enthusiasts) Restore Kit: Digital Storm Specialized Recovery System (DVD Image Based) Protection: - No Thanks Office: - No Thanks Benchmarking: - No Thanks Pre-Install Game: - No Thanks LCD Display: Acer 22 inch (Widescreen) (Black) (High-Performance Gaming Display) Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: Logitech 2 Piece (Black Edition) Amplified Speaker Set Keyboard: Microsoft Multimedia Desktop 2.0 (Multimedia Keyboard + Optical Wheel Mouse) Mouse: - No Thanks my keyboard comes with a mouse Warranty: 3 Year Platinum Care Extended Parts & Labor Warranty Support: Lifetime Toll-Free Platinum Care Technical Support Price: $5768.00 |

You just put the QX9775 into the socket and install a heatsink. Pretty easy...
The Intel Skulltrail D5400XS does not support DDR3 ram. It is recommended to have a 1000W PSU to run 2 CPUs, 2 GPUs, 4GB of ram or a 1400W PSU to run 2 CPUs, 4 GPUs, 8GB of ram. Remember that the 9800GX2 is 2 GPUs. Edited by skyR - 09 Mar 2008 at 7:20pm |

Thanks for the info!
1400W PSU? Do you offer a 1400W? Or will the 1200W PSU be enough? |

Here is a place you can use to find out how much power you will need. Its
not perfect but it will get you in the ballpark.
