Thats entirely awesome of you Matt. I have much respect for all of our men and women serving in the military. I have a fairly extensive military background in my family. One of my cousins who is in the Marines voluntarily went to Iraq right before Christmas. In fact, it was the only way they could get him to re-enlist was to agree to send him.
I also have a sister in the USAF who is in Louisiana, ready to assist with anything they might need during the hurricanes that are hitting them.
And I have another Marine cousin stationed over in Okinawa who keeps getting sent over to Korea for months at a time as well.
Like I said, I have much respect for the military. Just be safe over there Matt.

Hey Jason/Alex/HM I am glad that you guys both got your packages safe and sound. Thanks to everyone for thier support, it really means alot to hear that every once in a while.
Costone, the currency pack is about 10-15 bucks. If you want me to send you one, let me know where to mail it [email protected] or [email protected] if the gmail doesnt work for you. HM glad you like the flag :) The flag is a tangible way of me saying thanks for all the help on the forums, and in choosing my system. Jason, I sent you two (2) shot glasses for a reason, use them liberally!! Take care all, Matt |

Again, special Thanks to Matt.
We will hang your flag at our Storm Lounge if possible. I will ask Jason if he is willing to donate it for our Storm lounge.:)
Thanks for everything you did for Digital Storm, Matt!

Thanks Than, that would be awesome! Hanging it in the Storm lounge will be pretty cool, especially when I suprise you guys by dropping by and asking to se all of the things I sent. They are now Inspectable Items Jason...that means if you dont have them with you You will owe me 50 pushups. In less than 1 minute. Or time and count start over.
Now, here is some general info and a small history lesson for anyone interested. The flag that I sent you ugys is a Guidon style flag. Here is the history of them History Since guidons are the focal point of a Military unit (the size that I got you is for company, which is about 300 people or less) They come on Staffs. If you want to display the guidon like the Military (definetly not neccessary) here is a webpage to get a pole/stand Guidon Poles To clarify, I don't want you guys to think that I think that you need to display it like a military unit would, nor do I want you guys feeling pressure to. I was just putting out some info in case someone was interested :) I hope you guys enjoy the flag/t-shirts and money with Saddams ugly mug all over them. The shot glasses, however, I hope you use..often...on Jason's dime....when you ARENT working on my computer :) Take care guys, and thank you for your support and the awesome job you guys do. SGT Parsons. AKA Matt AKA Iraq Now (soon to be Iraq Then) PS The Camel shirt is so awesome that I bought one for me. As soon as I figure out how to edit pics I will post some pretty cool ones of camels over here....Or maybe someone drop me a email and edit them for me.... P.P.S The city I am in is on the shot glass. I can't tell ya'll which, but it is on there. Edited by Iraq Now - 03 Sep 2008 at 12:59am |

Lol ok, I will be looking for the email costone :)I haven't seen any replicas or real desert eagles over here lol. Everyone has 9mm now. Enough to knock someone down in order to stop them...but not enough to kill them. Or they carry a shotgun, or (like me) have to tote a damn machingun everywhere.
Take care all Matt |

Haha, thanks guys. HM I will definetly come by if you are serious. There is some hiking I want to do up there, on the Blue Ridge Parkway. A real steak would be awesome, and a afternoon by the pool would be pretty fantastic as well. Although I may go into shock at seeing that much water lol.
BTW the M249 MG fires 5.56mm, thank god. If I had to carry .30 or .50 ammo as well as the weapon to shoot it....I got shivers thinking about it. Take care all Matt |

We all appreciate your brave service to this great country. Kick some ass and get back home safely! I bet you can't wait to enjoy your new rig. As my uncle (a Marine) would say, HOOAH! Brandon |

I don't mean to be pedantic when such emotion is involved, but on behalf of your Uncle and the rest of the USMC, I'm sure he would have said HOOAH! belongs to Matt and the rest of the Army, while he would give them all a resounding HOO-RAH!! We in the Air Force would just say Pip-Pip while sipping our tea. Bf2m |

LOL @Bf2m. The Marines say HOO-RAH only because they screwed up saying HOOAH and don't want to admit a mistake. You know the Marines.
But, you do have the AF down pat. pip-pip. Awesome. |

Got back form work today. I have talked to Jason about the flag, It will be somewhere in our company like front desk where all people can see or in storm lounge, or our Meeting room.
I also got a lovely gray T-Shirt form Jason. ( it doesn't fix for him) . I am glad to have it . I will take extra care for it.
Again, Thanks alot, Matt!!

Haha BF2M. My apologies. I am sure he would have some words for me if he knew I had reported such an error . I have been in more than one arm bar... All you military guys and your confusing rallying cries! Us civ's will have to stick with our "U-S-A U-S-A U-S-A!" @ Matt - Nice WoW reference. Get us something of Saddam's and I'm sure we could call it Legendary. What server do you play on? |

Hey WecancallmeB I think that all of the real Saddam stuff is gone, I can probably get my hands on some Zaddam, or maybe Faddam stuff, but as you can see most likely fake. I am just guessing though :)
I have been clean of WoW for about 2 years now, but I used to play on the Deathwing (PvP) server. Take care all Matt |

Sorry I haven't been posting in a while, I am not ignoring or forgetting about you guys just been really busy. Ok, this is a update. We just got through with our customs inspection, and should be heading home soon. (Can't say when bc the bad guys have forum trolls too...bastards) I am so excited I can hardly sleep anymore. Seriously. I watched the entire season 3 of supernatural in one night bc I cant close my eyes. I CANNOT WAIT to get home. I have my DSO rig, a 2009 Charger, and my incredible USA Razorback Explosion waiting for me..... I CANT WAIT!! I am gonna use the DSO rig to download Dimebag clips, use the razorback to play them myself, and watch it all on the screens in the Charger. Man life is sweet.
Take care all Matt PS Costone, I havent forgotton about you either, but the Bazaar hasnt come around, and there are no flyers around advertising it. I am still keeping my eyes peeled though and will try my best to get you one of the currency packets. Edited by Iraq Now - 20 Sep 2008 at 2:26pm |

They got rid of the Bazaar where I'm at, guess they got caught smuggling stuff in that they weren't supposed to. Never seen a currency packet like that, though it does look pretty neat. I usually just ask the Iraqi's I work with for some currency to take home when friends ask about it though. Its amazing what you can find through the black markets here though, I was astonished by that. |
