I received 2 Custom Image Discs, #1 and #2, no "Disaster Recovery" Disc with my new DS PC last month. I assume that disk #1 is the boot disk and #2 is the actual image disk, and that DS made a change in the naming convention without updating the docs. I booted to disk one to test and got a menu that gave me choices that included "restore" so I believe I'm correct. That said, my question is, does this restore process mess with other hard disks beyond c:, that is, will any data on my d: drive remain untouched by this restore process. I expect that's the case but wanted to run it by ya'll.Thanks.

Excellent. Too much good stuff on d:, needed another sane voice to confirm what I understood. Thanks much for the quick reply, it will save me backing data up to external drives thru the night.

Well, currently running a restore and I'm a bit surprised that the restore directions that came with my new PC are plain wrong. Assuming the process DS uses to create these images recently changed they need to write completely new instructions for use of the "Custom Image Disks" that they are now providing. The directions entitled "Recovery Disk" do not apply and in fact will mislead anyone attempting to use the image disks.
