So after about a month she's here. Of course it took only 3 days freight shipping. Apollo Viking is a beaut, and is well built.
I ultimately don't think I can knock any points down. Sure on higher end builds the markup is phenomenal, but having built the last four, I was willing to spend to escape the time penalty and headaches. While building can be fun, and I had even read up on sys-prepping, I am glad I went this route. There will be 10 to 20 photos followed by 2 videos if I can figure out how to embed them. Once again, although I had some concern after the order and until arrival, I see my fears were unfounded, and Digital Storm PC performed in a stellar manner. I give them an unreserved high recommendation. Awaiting arrival: table set for arrival of apollo viking by armyslowrdr, on Flickr Arrival: image by armyslowrdr, on Flickr Really well protected...not a scratch nor a leak ! image by armyslowrdr, on Flickr Led lighting needs a pressure hold and assist back in place: image by armyslowrdr, on Flickr DS sends along all the unused parts: IMG_7719 by armyslowrdr, on Flickr Right after first boot---I took the better part of an evening just scoping things out before even turning AV on ! first boot 4 by armyslowrdr, on Flickr There were about two days/evenings spent installing and configuring dozens of programs and transferring files. Here are Spinerval downloads transferring. IMG_7748 by armyslowrdr, on Flickr There she sits, finally all in her rightful place as the new mistress of the cave ;) From behind rt main speaker by armyslowrdr, on Flickr Overall view: Apollo Viking set by armyslowrdr, on Flickr First video render---Final photo: Apollo Viking set while edit by armyslowrdr, on Flickr The videos rendered better than 1:1 or real time with minimum effects, titles, voice track and at 720p. So here are the 2 videos. The 1st is the tour of 1st arrival. The 2d is after she;s in place. There is a blooper mid way maybe in the 2d one where I forgot to delete off the timeline the end title of the 1st vid...lol. Highly satisfied !
