Hey Guys,
I've wanted to purchase a Digital Storm for over a year now and can finally say I've done it. I decided to do my purchase during a stream and I am going to be doing updates. So far, I'm a very happy customer. I hope these videos I upload will help those who need more information about these amazing computers. Feel free to check them out on my YouTube page by searching for: "K9 TaZer Review of Digital Storm Aventum X | 10K PC Purchase LIVE" Thanks! |

"I go for the best." Well, not so much for gaming, it seems.
https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i9-10980XE-vs-Intel-Core-i9-10900K/m935899vs4071 Are you planning a RAM disk? If not, you will have about 224GB of RAM idle pretty much at all times. Top of the line storage options well configured. Good call on the single GPU. In 3 years, you will not want a second card, the top card will kill the one you have. There may well be exactly zero new games that even know what to do with dual GPUs by then. Bread customer service IS quite good. I've long heard the white cabling goes very well with the RGB! Sooo... just the proc and the RAM are question marks. I don't see why you didn't select a gaming proc rather than a numbers cruncher, but what do I know? Just the extra cores/threads will do nothing at all, and the CPU is quite a bit slower, but you may well have other purposing in mind, and that's cool. You joked about loading your game into RAM, but is that gonna ever happen? I hope you explored the Forum a bit and know there are multiple parts delays possible with this build. Please don't be a whiner.
Good video. Perhaps you could do direct links?

Hey Cretae,
First off, thank you very much for reviewing my "review" and providing your feedback. It's great hearing from others and reading their opinions. 1) The decision was simply because I rather stick with Intel. Personally, I don't feel AMD has that "superior edge" that has given them the respect that they should deserve, or, could deserve. I felt comfortable staying with my Intel, and, simply, it was more of a personal decision, than benchmark numbers. 2) The RAM was more of "because I can" than necessity. As you said, 256 is not needed at all, it's more to the fact that it's nice to have :) 3) The storage I feel was one of the important options and I am glad I went with something I feel will be a good and long-term option. 4) Thank you for the single GPU. You're correct. I just didn't see the point in it. I have not had any updates since my last Update #1 video. I know I won't get it within the 20-25 day period they promised with how everything is going on. I wish there was a little more communication as I have heard NOTHING since my last email update. I tried posting direct links but the forums didn't let :) Thank you again for your feedback. |

Intel is PCIe Generation 3. AMD has been Gen 4 for a year, plus 7nm lithography. Every PCIe 4 part is gimped a bit on an Intel platform. That's "superior edge" in reality, despite opinion.
256GB of RAM is like having a "crotch rocket" to go to the mailbox. No problemo, get whatever floats your boat. I have a personality flaw that compels me to get my money's worth.
you can get direct contact if you e-mail [email protected] from the e-mail you ordered from. That will link him to your order. Edited by Cretae - 02 Dec 2020 at 5:27am |

Most definitely my RAM purchase was overkill, but, hey, I can so I did :) It is safe to say, I won't need to expand on that anymore :)

Thanks man! :) I know that logically, I went overboard, but hey, I saved up for over a year to buy this the way I wanted. I can't wait to get it!

Thanks buddy!!!! I'm looking forward to it:) I'm a streamer so if anything, my logic behind it was more of an "eye-catcher" than anything else.
