A couple of questions I have. First If wanted to replace the video card with a hd3850 what would the price be? Second will i notice a real diffrence between the duo 2.66 and the duo 3.0? Any recomendations would be greatly appricated. I am trying to stay in 1300 dollar range. I did not get a upgraded sound card due to the fact 99% of the time I am playing I have headphones on. |

According to the configuration page if you go with 2x hd3850, expect about $146 more, don't know how much for a single hd3850.
You shouldn't notice any difference in speed between the 2.66 and 3.0 in real life - You can see the difference in benchmarks.
A stand alone soundcard still sound better on headphones too unless it's a USB headphone.

Only looking to go single on the video card. Thanks for the input on the other options. Another question I had was will I notice a diffrence if I upgrade to the ram to the xms2 ram? |

I am not sure if they still have the 6750 (?) I am thinking that when I ‘first’ looked at my system I found that this was no longer available. I may be wrong. Go for the better Ram, the 1066 Mhz and upgrade the mother board to help you future proof. You can upgrade other components yourself down the road and that’s always a good thing! Other than that, what I suggest is call them NOW and ask them. They can give you exact details. They are their until Just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. I am not a hardware integrator. |

A single HD3850 has a MSRP of $179. Your total should be the same since the 8600 GTS is suppose to be $179 as well.
Get the 800MHz ram to overclock your E6750 to 3GHz +. Definitely worth it =x |

Call and find about the price for the single 3850, it's a much better card for nearly the same price.

You don't need to upgrade that motherboard or RAM. 800MHz RAM is a better choice for overclocking as SkyR already said and for the price difference, I would do it. The HD3850 is just a plain better card than the 8600GTS. That's a very nice build for the $$$.

Thanks for the input. As far as the OCing the rig i proabaly will not have that done. My apartment gets pretty hot in the summer time and AC is not an option also when them Santa Anna winds kick up the heat just sux. Also since the only real diffrence in OC will be for the benchmarking I can live with the 2.66.
