I am building a gaming system to replace my aging laptop and have never
used a desktop LCD/LED panel before. I plan on playing at a max
resolution of 1920x1080, never larger, and have no desire to use multiple monitors or 3D. I have been told repeatedly that
IPS units are far superior to TN panels. I have also been told that the
Dell UltraSharp is a top-notch unit. I have found the Dell UltraSharp U2312HM for $259.00 at Dell.com. Although this will stretch my
$2000 budget to about $2200, I have just about decided to buy it, unless
you guys throw up the stop signs and tell me why I shouldn't...
All input is appreciated !! |

Ya I saw it on sale last night, that is the best price I have seen it for, lot of people here have the IPS panel and love it.
Everybody that has an IPS says they won't go back to tn. I believe there are some owners in this thread Edited by DST4ME - 26 Oct 2011 at 6:50pm |

I can summon no stop signs. If you feel like you can expand your budget that extra bit, then I certainly recommend jumping for that monitor, you won't regret it!
