..And not the hall and oates album (out of touch anyone?). If anyone saw the release, those are some sensational specs and prices as far as the writings on paper goes. Can't wait to see these in action in the next coming weeks. Hopefully my 2-1/2 year old system can run the darn thing. I have high hopes it will be ok as i would love to finally upgrade my tired of 970 to the 3080. What do yous think?

I would wait to see how they perform on the games you play or want to play.

It is possible you could nab a great deal on a 2000 series card being clearanced somewhere also.

Especially if the older cards give you the performance you want in the games you play.

Depends on the monitor as usual. The 2070 SUPER was the right pick for 1440p so what do you think the 3070 will do at that res? It's reported stronger than a 2080 Ti and 60% faster than the 2070. So... you need a 3080 for what, now?

Don't forget to consider your CPUs , I mean if you care about getting full value of your GPU purchase out of your system anyway. Make sure your CPU doesn't bottleneck your GPU to much or else you might be wasting your money on that GPU purchase in the end.

Not too much a problem IMHO. The last 2-3 years of high-end CPUs have been way overpowered for what's necessary.
