Hi guys,
Currently I am waiting for my pc to be delivered. FEDEX says it should be here next Thursday! I have one question though.I will have 2 drives on the new PC. 1 ssd and second is hdd. My question may sound stupid but I am a newbie in computers. Question: All the programs which are not very importand I will install on hdd, so where on the HDD should I install them? I used to have a one hard drive with the programs file folder, where i kept all my programs.
Thank you for help Edited by Regent Square - 16 Apr 2011 at 6:12pm |

It's possible to transfer programs, someone had up a topic before that indicated a program used to transfer around other things but worked on programs just as well, have to find it though.
Where on the HDD you ask...? Eh....does it really matter? Just make a folder named "Programs" or something to organize yourself, and install programs to that folder lol. Edited by ablahblah - 16 Apr 2011 at 7:07pm |

if you want something to load quick... Gaming cut scenes, data, ect.. install on SSD. I use the HD to store movies, music, patches, downloads, ect... Ive also purchased an external 60g and copied my 40g backup of my system.
lol so now I have 2 backups hahaha. Just in case. Can restore system in 10 min with that thing.
Anyways You will love your system.

I decided not to buy a SSD with my system as it put me over my self imposed hard limit on my budget... however I already have a 80Gb intel SSD here and I figure i am just going to stick steam/games and my VM's on it. Those are the things I care about loading fast.

Put all apps and OS on the ssd, try to put games on there too, use the HDD only for file storage, don't install apps on there.
