Seagate has been going down the drain since they moved to china... my friend reciently bought a 500GB SATA from them, in 2 months it failed. Never Ever Buy a 500GB hdd new for 60$, if its at that price, theres something wierd going on. yes Western Digital FTW.

$60 for 500GB is quite normal lol.
Seagate never moved to China. It was founded in Cali and they have facilities all around the world just like it's competitor Western Digital. |
