Hello lucaslep

I will config a system for you, however on that budget, he can't go sli, and to get 60 fps minimum with high aa and highest settings, in some games you will need sli. We don't know exactly what it will take to run bf3 at those settings since its not out yet.

so on that budget, a single gpu is what he gets, we can do this a few ways:

1. with ssd:

Now to go sli, there are a coupple of ways again, this time case changes also:

1. preferred config for best performance, this one needs nothings, you just give it games, and it shreds them out for you easily:

now price obviously is high but thats sli for you, now lets try and cut some corners to bring price down, we start with the ssd:

2. No ssd, you add ssd later:

Here you go Ticket# 544254 --- $2559 (To see this build click here)

this one you add ssd to in 4 or 5 months and complete it.

but price is still up from the budget.

last things to try is to lower the case to the 922, go with a 500GB BC, and drop oc to 3.9GHz, you can still add ssd later and cover that area, your oc is good enough for games at 3.9GHz, and the case should do just fine:

Here you go Ticket# 544255 --- $2367 (To see this build click here)

no matter which case out of the 2 you go with, Ask DS specifically for this fan to be added, so you endup with 4 or 3 x 200mm fans:

haf 200mm non led fan

for the 922 it goes on the side making total fans 3 x 200mm.

for the 942 it goes on the top making total fans 4 x 200mm.

There you go, can't bring it any lower than that and keep its quality and performance.

very good then, be sure that he

Asks DS specifically for this fan to be added to the side, so he endups with 3 x 200mm fans:

haf 200mm non led fan

also he needs to add a 1TB hdd or something like that as hdd2 for storage, remember:

HDD1 = fast small drive: os/apps/games

HDD2 = regular large drive: media/personal/work file storage

so in this case he has the ssd for hdd one, and as soon as he gets the second drive and adds it as hdd2, he needs to move all his media/personal/work files to the hdd2.

normally we choose the 1TB black caviar for its size and speed for hdd2.
