I just purchased and installed a 240gb Corsair GS for my computer and put it into my Hot swap bay on my 800d case. My primary is a ssd and also have a 1tb caviar black drive for storage. because of the amount of games i had i wanted to still have them available but on an ssd for speed. Do i need to do any more maintenance to the second sdd because its not my main OS drive? is trim and all that on that one as well?

You shouldn't need to do anything else. Since you already have one SSD installed, AHCI should already be enabled in your BIOS which effectively turns TRIM on within Windows 7/8. Normally you can tell if this is on by attempting to Defrag a SSD drive - it shouldn't let you if AHCI is enabled.
