Budget:
My Budget is roughly $1,500 ~ 1,900 without any additional accessories. Expectations: I want to be able to play current and future games at high to ultra settings (1920 x 1080 resolution). A current enough configuration so that I won't have to upgrade for a while. Usage: General web browsing, League of Legends, World of Warcraft, Minecraft, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and various other games. I'll probably be doing some light video and image editing, as well as stream games on Twitch.tv Special Needs: I live in Hawaii so I'm worried that room temperature heat may be an issue. I've been lurking through the forums and other various websites for the past 2 months now, trying to decide what I wanted to purchase. So far, the Vanquish lineup has been the most enticing, offering the best "bang for your buck." I'm just about ready to purchase the level 4 system but decided to post here for additional feedback or advice on perhaps a different build that I could do to suit my needs. My budget is roughly $1,500 ~ $1,900. My knowledge in computer components is medium at best, and would like a system that will last for a while before needing upgrades. I'm really leaning towards the level 4 Vanquish system, and will probably be the system I go with. Questions: Would a level 4 Vanquish system be sufficient in meeting my expectations and needs? I have no experience with liquid cooling of any kind. According to my research, the Corsair H60 is a closed loop system, meaning no maintenance. Generally how long do these last until they have to be replaced? That's all the questions I have. |

Welcome to DS, Vuo!!
The L4 Vanquish would enable you run some high settings (and maybe some ultra) but you wouldn't be able to max all the settings for all games. Bang for the buck, the Vanquish is the one to go with. To build a custom setup using the same parts would cost you a couple hundred more dollars for the same system. In a few years, you could upgrade the GPU to keep up with the demands of games, but for now the 770 should work fine for you. As far as the H60 goes, you should get a couple years out of it before it stops working but just like anything, your mileage may vary... As far as heat/cooling goes, essentially they all cool using the air. The liquid coolers just move the hot to a different location before cooling. Your system will never run cooler than room temperature. Good Luck! |

I think I'll hold off on buying the system for another week or so since I just read about the Nvidia holiday bundle. I'm hoping Digital Storm is also participating in this so I can get my hands on all three of those games as well.

I'm sure they will. The manufacturers are constantly changing the games being offered and so far I've seen DS offer then each time.

Just checked, and Digital Storm is in fact including the holiday bundle with the purchase of a level 4 Vanquish system. For those unaware, this includes: Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Batman: Arkham Origins. I'll finally be putting in my order later today. Definitely looking forward to becoming apart of the Digital Storm community, writing a review on the system, and most importantly gaming and streaming on the Vanquish.

Ahh the woes of living in Hawaii..shipping expenses cost me an arm and a leg. I've been procrastinating on ordering my computer. Just a little curious as to why the 3 day shipping method is nearly double the expense of what the shipping calculator said, it is also more expensive than the 2 day shipping method.
Ground: $239.32 Computer: $239.32 3 Day Air: $225.48 Computer: $225.48 2 Day Air: $352.32 Computer: $352.32 1 Day Air (Overnight): $481.40 Computer: $481.40 Wooden Crate Ground: $299.00 Computer: $299.00 Freight Delivery: $399.00 Computer: $399.00 When I attempt to purchase with the 3 Day Air shipping method, my total comes out to be: Sub Total: $1,369.00 Tax: $0.00 S&H: $481.40 Total: $1,850.40 When purchasing with the 2 Day Air shipping method, my total comes out to be: Sub Total: $1,369.00 Tax: $0.00 S&H: $353.28 Total: $1,722.28 Out of curiosity, I tried out how much it would cost if I chose Overnight, and my total comes out to be: Sub Total: $1,369.00 Tax: $0.00 S&H: $481.40 Total: $1,850.40 Edit: Just e-mailed them as well. Hi Vuo...... It does sound like the calculator is broken but ,on the forums, we have no way of checking on this for you. DS is closed on weekends so this might be a next week fix. However, Alex does help out a lot on weekends so might be by later. Or, they do have work done weekends and hopefully someone will get back to you.
You could try this email. [email protected]. Good luck and keep us updated. |

Yep, I've already e-mailed them. ^^
On a side note, I've just purchased a BenQ XL Series XL2420TE monitor. My excitement is slowly growing. |

Nice.
The vanquish 4, I think that's your pick, will play real nice on that monitor.

Thank you for choosing Digital Storm! The UPS/FedEx rates always seem weird when it's a system is going to Hawaii. Our team can help you with a more accurate quote (since you did email them). Most likely it's probably going to be around the 2-day air rate.

Just pulled the trigger and purchased my Vanquish system. Gerardo has been great in assisting me both through e-mail and (coincidentally) over the phone when I decided to call to make my purchase. These two factors alone have given me a great impression on the level of customer service that this company offers. Really looking forward to receiving my system.

Really disappointed with how Fedex is dealing with my monitor package from Newegg, as they seem to have lost my shipment that was due for me on Wednesday...
I can only hope that they treat my PC coming in from Digital Storm with tender loving care and not lose it. I'm not religious by any means, but perhaps it's time to start praying to a higher power, all hail the shipping gods, please keep my computer in your prayers tonight. |

I went with ground shipping, and it was roughly 230 dollars. Yes, Oahu.
