Hi erminy.... I really know nothing about what's needed for a server pc, other than a fast, multi core cpu and lots of reasonably fast ram from what I have read.
Your config has the 4570, non k, cpu and I'm not sure DS will overclock it. Check with them to make sure. You could save $49 and drop the oc or if the faster clock is needed, try this. Config # 853966 Cost $ 1429 Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Pre-built Digital Storm Bolt Exterior Finish: Metallic Dark Grey Gunmetal Matte Finish with Black Vents and Black Stand Trim Accents: - No Thanks Processor: Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40 GHz (Unlocked CPU) (Quad Core) Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z77N-WIFI (Intel Z77 Chipset) (Mini-ITX) System Memory: 16GB DDR3 2133MHz Digital Storm Certified Performance Series (Highly Recommended) (Hand Tested) Power Supply: 500W Gold Plus Series Digital Storm Certified BOLT Edition (Enhanced Quiet Operation) Expansion Bay: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 1: Operating System: 1x (120GB Solid State (By: Corsair) (Model: Neutron GTX Series) (SATA 6Gbps) Set 1 Raid Options: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 2: Multimedia\Data: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 3: Backup\Misc.: - No Thanks Optical Drive 1: DVD/CD 8x Multi-Drive (Writes and Reads DVDs, CDs) Optical Drive 2: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Video Card: 1x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 2GB (Includes PhysX) Add-on Card: - No Thanks Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio Extreme Cooling: High Performance Cooler with Five Heatpipes H20 Tube Color:- Not Applicable, I do not have a FrostChill or Sub-Zero LCS Cooling System Selected Chassis Airflow: Standard Factory Chassis Fans Internal Lighting: - No Thanks Enhancements: - No Thanks Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Noise Reduction: - No Thanks LaserMark: - No Thanks Boost Processor: Stage 1: Overclock CPU 4.0GHz to 4.4GHz Boost Video Card: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Boost Memory: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my memory Boost OS: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Windows Recovery Toolkit (Bundled with Windows 7 CD) Virus Protection: - No Thanks Office: - No Thanks Game: - No Thanks Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks External Storage: - No Thanks Exclusive T-Shirt: - No Thanks Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 10-15 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Customer Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty It's going the wrong way with your budget , but if oc'ing will make a difference, the something to look at. The 3570k is the little older Ivy Bridge and not the Haswell 4570, but they are very close in overall performance. Your build is bare-bones and I couldn't see any way to save, without dropping to 8gb ram, etc. Hope this helps and good luck. Edit. That motherboard, in my config, might only take ram to 1600Mhz. I wouldn't think it would make too much of a difference, plus the slower ram clock reduces the risk of cpu overclock instability. I forget the free t-shirt.
