My machine was handed over to UPS on Monday afternoon. My wife is letting me out of a planned trip to visit her parents this coming weekend, so I can play with said computer. Life is good!

UPDATE: Just a thought.... Man, now I'll be really pissed off annoyed if UPS doesn't deliver on schedule.

My DS machine will be shipped to work, so it will be too obvious if I took a sick day to play with it!

Checking the UPS page for updates every 30 minutes is brutal. >.>
I know it's supposed to come in on Thursday, but I can't help but hope that it will come in early, you know?

Getting a DS system... $3000.00 or more
Beers drank while posting on the forums... $595.35
Getting out of a planned trip to visit your wife's parents... priceless.

That's almost better than getting a new DS system.Clap

Posting this on my new PC. :)

All appears to be good. The very first boot met with a problematic blue screen, basically saying something wasn't right, and I'm not sure if my front USB ports are working, but other than that, I'm so psyched! :D

Every machine that is shipped is also cold-boot tested by a quality inspector, we would of caught that blue screen here. It has to be a device that you plugged in, or devices in that case. For example, an IRQ conflict, after a restart, it obtained a new address and resolved itself.

Your USB ports should be working, if you have an ULTRA series case with a card reader, only either the top or front USB ports will work. We have to sacrifice a USB header on the motherboard for the card reader. Also, check to see if USB has been disabled in the BIOS, lately we been disabling USB while sending images over the network, and since it's a brand new technique, many of the guys might still be getting use to enabling at the shipping area.

Yeah, the USB ports were working, don't know why they weren't. And the only devices I had in for my first boot were the provided mouse and keyboard - but it hasn't come up again, so I guess it was just a one time deal. :P
