So, I'm probably still a few weeks away from getting my computer, currently have ground shipping. Do most of you do ground shipping, or have you guys home with the frieght shipping?
I ask because after waiting this long, the last thing I want to have happen is shipping damage or loss. What are your guys experience with ground vs frieght? Appreciate your guys time in advance. Velox 5900x/3080 build Stage 1 - 12/23/2020 Stage 2 - 02/24/2021 Stage 3 - 03/09/2021 |

I shipped mine the "Freight" method. Still arrived damaged.
I really don't think you have to worry on which way to ship. Both ways stand the same chance of damaging your PC the way shipping companies handle products anymore. To be fair, the vast majority of products arrive UNDAMAGED. Best of luck. |

I did the lowest level of Fedex ground and it got here just fine. Took a few days, but the box was in pretty decent shape compared to the last couple of large items I have received.
Agree with above poster - the way they handle stuff is just criminal these days. Edited by ealderson - 18 Mar 2021 at 6:42am |

Ok, pulling in some knowledge from "Back in the day", where my first job was a 5-year stint in Shipping and Receiving.
FedEx Ground used to be RPS. (Roadway Parcel Service). They originated the little bar code stickers for checking in/out boxes. When they were RPS, the driver of the truck was a "Franchise". Anything that gets broken or damaged on their truck comes out of their pocket. And they treated the stuff they were carrying as their own. Once FedEx turned it into FedEx Ground, I have no idea what became of that model. But I know when I was shipping things at Kinko's when they turned into "FedEx Kinko's" we had very little or no damaged complaints. Yes, I have had a lot of very odd jobs in my many years. Especially after the Dot Com kaboom! |

I had freight shipping, the system came with dislodged RAM sticks. On a pallet!
