Without knowing what you ordered.... it could be 10-15 business days if you purchased a "pre-built" system or it could be 2-3 months if you've ordered the machines with pieces and parts that are currently being held by customs... or the top of the line special contructor's kit, etc...
Give us a bit more info and we'll provide our best guesses. Welcome to DS GrimXI. |

10-15 business days from when it passes stage 1. If that's next Tuesday, you could be looking at the 23rd or so for shipping to you. Depending on where you live, that could take as much as 7 days, weather permitting.
While it's still waiting to be built, you might consider upgrading your primary drive. The Digital Storm SSD is a SATA drive in the M.2 form factor. You might prefer an NVMe drive from Samsung that accesses the PCIe bus directly for up to 5x faster performance. Just a thought. DS will be happy to upgrade you. |

Storage set 1 is the drive they install Windows on, That's considered your "primary" drive. It's very useful to have that drive be as fast as you can afford because it not only speeds up everything your OS does, but it allows for super-fast scans of the primary drive for malware, viruses, and internet gunk.

Also consider what is going on with this disease spreading and putting some businesses on leave/working from home (don't think DS made any official announcement), maybe expect a delay or two...normally 10-15 business days minus weekends. But things happen. Mine was on track until the world decided to crap itself |

DS will happily upgrade your order and make any changes needed as long as it's not yet in stage 5 (stress testing).

Very simple since you'd be within the same computer for the transfer. Once you have installed the new NVMe M.2 on your motherboard, you can Google "cloning software" and research a pick. I have used free versions of Acronis, Macrium and EaseUS in the past. They have all worked fine. In my case, just a one-time use, so no need to pay. It's been awhile, so times may have changed. Reviews of what is currently highly regarded are easy to come by.
Cloning will create an exact replica of your source drive. When you have cloned your old drive to the new one, you will need to rename the new drive "C" and Windows will boot from it. If I remember correctly, the old drive will automatically be renamed something else. In your case, probably the next letter after your HHD. Use it for a couple of weeks to make sure everything is fine, and then you can just use the old drive as a backup, or wipe it and use it for whatever you want. Does that help? |

You can hope for the 10-15 business days after Stage 1 processing, but DS like everyone else, is battling the Covid-19 virus issues, and they may be losing some folks to quarantine and so forth. Hope for the best, expect, perhaps, a delay. This situation is as fluid and ever-changing as anything any have ever seen before.
