I just bought my first ever PC, the level four lynx from DS

However, I am seeing some posts up here about how they have waited months for their system. Is the 5-10 shipping estimate not accurate or is that only for custom built PC's?

Most of the posts you'll see with the "months" for shipping were during the pandemic and parts shortages. If you've purchased one of the prebuilts then your 5-10 business day window should be fine.

Actually, I do remember the excitement. I was lucky enough to live within driving distance when I ordered my first Digital Storm. You can bet that I took advantage of that and made the drive as soon as my machine was ready. Almost got 2 speeding tickets on the way home.   

Hang in there... We all know the and the of the new machines.

Remember, safety first... virus protection, firewalls, etc. Don't get too wrapped up in 'what can this thing do' that you sacrifice its safety and security. You want this thing to last and last.

You should get your system soon. The hardware delays are mostly over so the estimated times are back to being correct. You will love your pc.

That's like asking people "What's my favorite color?" There are way too many variables in your life for us to make that decision or to even point you in a relatively reasonable direction.

If you're not sure what to get start by getting into the game libraries at Steam, GOG, etc and see what's available, what people are leaving positive reviews for, and generally what appeals to you.

Personally I adore "Open World" games so I'm a fan of Skyrim, Fall Out, Red Dead Redpemption, Elite:Dangerous, etc. I don't have any love at all for COD, HALO, or any first person shooters. Does this mean the FPS's are bad? No, just not my thing. But they are very very popular so someone has to love them...

Just saying, what you like is what you like and with a PC you get a larger variety and more ways to play them.

I placed a order on august 26th and I am still in stage 1 so I'm not sure how accurate the 5-10 day shipping time is

My friend ordered both of us the ultimate lynx pre built and he is in stage 7 as of today and I’m still in stage 4. I’m very confused, as he purchased these within an hour of each other.
