I mean, what's the point of buying it now when in 60 days new GPU/CPU will come out? (my friend says to max out BF3 you can't even do it with SLI 570...but maybe the new cards can!)

Or is everyone afraid of new products due to no one know if it's even good or have problems so they'd rather stick with the older but time-tested GPU/CPUs?

If that is the case, then the new graphic cards that come out in Dec/Jan will not really be "widely used/accepted" until...i'd say June 2012 due to the "unknown waters" theory.

So is this why people are still buying the "soon to be outdated" systems?

not trying to piss anyone off, because I'm in the same boat, thinking of getting one now, but afraid of the "immediate outdated" theory, but if I chose to wait, I am afraid of the "new items, new problems" dillema (just like DST4ME's attitude towards using the semi untested corsair SSD rofl)

what do you think?

1. your friend is wrong.

2. your friend is wrong.

lol but seriously your friend is wrong.

as for why won't some people wait, its simple, some can't, some don't see the need.

also its not that simple, stuff never comes out when they are suppose to, otherwise for example x79 should have been out already, the new gpus, were suppose to be out Q4 of this year, but got pushed back, so if you gonna wait, understand that you may have to wait a bit longer.

then there is the other problem of waiting more, see by the time you wait for the new gpus, there is a better mobo to get for the new cpu, its just a couple of months away, so you might as well, by the time you get to that, there will be an updated version of the cpu for that mobo, just a month or so away, so might as well get that, by that time there is a updated version of the gpus, just a couple of months away, so you might as well wait for that, by that time both sandybridge and ivybridge have come and gone, haswell is around the corner so you gonna have to wait for that.......

That's always going to happen, new things are always coming out. What's currently out there now, P67/Z68 have matured now with BIOS, driver, chipset, updates, etc...

Any new piece of hardware may have some temporary bugs, but, they will get ironed out.

P.S.
I am moving this to the 'Hardware Discussion' section.
