How long does it take for XM15 to shut down or log off? I used the guest account and now it takes an unusual long time, when I first got the computer it would say updayting windows. |

I don't know how long it would take with an HDD, but mine takes from three to five seconds with an Intel 520.

From what you say though, Windows is automatically installing updates after you shut it down, which is common on a Windows operating system, because Microsoft feels that that the span of time after you are done using the computer will probably be the least intrusive time (which it generally is). However, if you wish to shut down without installing updates, I believe that you should be able to click on the arrow next to the shut down button in the start menu and choose to shut down without updating. This option will only appear when there is a shield next to the shut down button, indicating updates that need to be installed.
