Well...where to start. I WAS a Cyberpower PC customer. Was you say? Well, yes was. Here's why:

I ordered a build  from them mid last month identical to the one I'm going to post minus the case and the PSU. I had done some research first based on price (having two little ones limits budget A LOT) and then based on reviews. I don't know why DS wasn't an option. Then I read into some of the reviews on CP and thought it honestly couldn't be that bad. So I ordered from them.  I had originally ordered the CP brand PSU then changed it to a Thermaltake Toughpower 850w psu. I was pretty excited in getting the PC....it arrived......I got skiddish like a little kid. I open the boxes, start inspecting and wtf do I see? Certainly not the Toughpower PSU I ordered. It was a Thermaltake TR2 RX. After further inspection TWO fans weren't connect and a sata connector was broke to the HDD. And the CPU fan is crooked....Temps remained fine so I'm not sure what is or can be done about that.

So after find out that a switch had been pulled I contacted CSR and was told that Thermaltake was discontinuing the Toughpower 850. I didn't think much of it until later and after looking on their website it still shows like it's being sold. I mean I could be BLIND but I seriously don't know. I was then gave the choice to cross ship the same PSU only to find out they didn't have anymore of them and was then was almost borderlined pressured to trade it out for the lesser version of the TR whatever PSU. I had luckily came across and read reviews about the PSU I was trying to be switched to the day before and was convinced then I would never get that PSU if I ever came across. I didn't tell CP this and just kept it. Well last night I was playing a game and the PC dies. Guess what the problem was? The PSU. I'm waiting until tomorrow as I have no choice to wait to talk to them.....but since I have the time almost, since I'm posting from a PC I've just sold so it will be shipping Tuesday probably. Anyways....I'm on the verge of getting a complete BS free refund tomorrow. I'm still within my 30 day blah blah money back warrant period BS....haha. As you can tell I'm not happy. I want to know what can DigitalStorm do for me that CP has completely and utterly failed to do. I'm disconcerted, heartbroken, and have very little faith left. I've read the reviews on resellersrating.com and I'm impressed thus far with just that. But I really need more.

I forgot the build I was going to go with....I'm looking at the liquid cooling option, but am afraid to make that jump.
I'm also not too impressed with the HAF 922 compared to the Thermaltake Spedo advanced. I like muh case.

Can tell you a couple things off the bat

You need to upgrade your Mobo from the p55 to and x58 that is future proof so you can add stuff in later.

Get the Corsair 750w PSU its a bit more expensive but its very good quality

Downgrade to Win 7 pro...ultimate is a waste of space

According to everything stated from DS, should their brand PSU be just AS good? That's where my PC issue has been...the PSU.

I don't need Win7. I already have it. It was just a space filler.

Thanks for the reply.

corsair is better in quality, if you want to cf in the future you will need a 1000w corsair.

what res you gaming at?

when you say LC, you are not talking about the asetek are you? cause that is not real LC and the air coolers will do just as good the d14 will beat it.

To be honest, I don't know anything about cooling. It was just a mere thought. But it doesn't, what good does cooling do when I don't have a PC to cool?

I game at 1680*1050

Well it seems like a great build. It's a step up in processor from the CP one, and thank you for taking the time to build a system and post it. That is greatly appreciated.  So here's my question:

Why should I (aside from a few obvious things) ship this PC back to CP, get a full refund, and spend more with DS? I can't just be shelling out money here and there in hopes it works. I just need a little more convincing.

I had a large rant here, but I'll trim it down to this:

Overall the website does a great job in explaining what DS does when building you a PC, and what teh company is about and believes in.  The videos show how they test and package the systems they build.  You can also get a feel of the company based on the warranty they offer.  3 years Full coverage on all parts and labor.  That is ridiculous in most aspects of life.  Cars are usually 3 years, 36,000 miles and this is a PC we are talking about.

Their customer service dept is friendly and they actually talk with you about the build you are ordering, offering suggestions to max out your PC and to get you the build you actually need, rather than some over priced machine.  You can ask they anything about the PC, and they answer it.

Their tech support is king.  I had a few issues with my machine over the past 3-4 years, and they answered all my questions even when I was dealing with a product they were not responsible for.  I had an Ipod that was acting funny, and while DS could have said "call apple", their tech sat with me for 2-3 hours trying to get the damn thing to work.  Not just  things like "uh..try the front usb port now man", I mean they guy was researching known issues similar to mine and relaying that to me as I was also looking at what the problem was on my end.  This was also over the phone mind you.

I had an issue with a canceled order last year, and Alex went beyond what he needed to in order to resolve the issue.  He did everything short of driving to the credit company's HQ and demanding that they fix the situation immediately.  I even read the return policy wrong and he still offered the cancellation charge (about $140) as a discount if I ordered a PC with in 6 months of that time.  That means they did not charge me what they legally could....AND he was going to put that as a discount on my next purchase.  Who does that?  right.....basically no one anymore.  I did not exercise that option as I took longer than he offered, to get my new PC.

This company will not abandon you if things go south.  No one here will be able to tell you enough how great this company is, and why they are fans.  You are going to have to simply call them, and start discussing your situation and needs, and go through the experience.

DS is truly a company that stands by their product and people, and most importantly, their customers.

I like this question. All in all I think this is pretty much the quintessence of Digital Storm. Quality. I could go on and on about reasons why but for the sake of not sounding like a paid testimonial I'll sum it up and keep it short. You go with DS when you want it built right, you want it built right the first time, and you want it backed up by top notch customer service and a full parts and labor warranty for (a minimum of) 3 years. Even the overclocks are warranted.

Digital Storm is not the cheapest, this is basically their only downside. However they are certainly not the most expensive and despite not being the cheapest they are an incredible value for the price range. I like to think of them as that sweet spot of best bang for your buck, with quality and service being their shining points. Anyone who does it cheaper throws out every ounce of quality, service, ethics, and dignity to do it, you play against the odds ordering from them but the odds are stacked and the house has the advantage.

All I can say is this, after doing my homework, I would not trust anybody else with my money other then DS, simply cause I know if I'm not happy, they will go out of their way to make me happy.
