I did this build with the Slade instead of the Velox

Slade build = 2056817

Velox build = 2052952

The Slade build gives me a little bit more for less:
internal CD/dvd
hot swap bay
Corsair 240mm liquid cooler instead of 280mm

Is there anything I should know about the Slade case that would make me go with the Velox. Is the Slade really quiet and cool?

Since the Slade case comes with 3 x AF140L noise optimized 140mm fans do I even need to bother upgrading to the ML Pro fans?

Welcome to DS. Those are very nice configurations.

The Velox is an exclusive design by DS. The mobo is inverted and the window is on the right looking at the pc from the front. Don't know much about the Slade but the ML fans are very quiet.

Note that the std. 3 year warranty is only 1 year for parts.
Good luck and let us know what you order.

I own one Slade and literally ordered another.

It's one of the quietest machines I've ever had - even when it's going full bore, you can't hear it and the I've never had a problem with temps. It's quiet enough that I've never had issues with podcasting or twitch streaming and I use a pretty sensitive shotgun mike.
