Hello,
I purchased a Slade a month ago and during that time, I have blue-screened 4 times while browsing the web.  This seems a bit unusual to me--but my previous computer was a Mac that never blue-screened, so maybe this is normal for PCs nowadays? :D

...At first I thought it was some sort of Chrome issue, but I'm getting these crashes with IE9 as well.  In addition, the browser tends to shut down for no reason, and continues to shut down every time I try to bring the website back up.  This seems to happen the most with Facebook, for some reason.

I'm not sure if this is the issue that occurs every time I've blue-screened, but this is the most recent message I'm getting:

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
  OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
  Locale ID: 1033
Additional information about the problem:
  BCCode: 1a
  BCP1: 0000000000005003
  BCP2: FFFFF70001080000
  BCP3: 00000000000009AE
  BCP4: 000009B00000125C
  OS Version: 6_1_7601
  Service Pack: 1_0
  Product: 768_1

If any additional info is needed, please let me know.

Thanks in advance for the help! :)

Hi lastcallcomic...... Sorry to hear of problems.

BSOD is not normal and can mean a hardware or software problem. If this is happening only once a week or so then it's gonna be tough to tell what fixes what.

In general, I would re-install any drivers such as your graphic card driver or any hardware you installed since rec'ing the pc.

Download, install and run CPUID HWMonitor for free.  While on the pc, keep it open and monitor cpu core and graphic card temps.  If they stay in the 60's C and 70's C or below under load then the temps are good and the coolers are working.

If this happened since day one, then something might have been jostled during shipping.  Unplug and re-connect all connectors to motherboard with pc unplugged from wall.  Reseat the graphics card and the memory modules.  They unclip, slide out of the slot  and clip back in the same way.

Any hardware or software you've installed can be causing this.  A System Restore back to when the rig came in might help.

Good Luck and call DS tech support if it continues.  They are excellant and can identfy issues pretty quick.
