I have a suspicion: Are sleep and hibernate mode really bad for your computer? I had a laptop that suddenly died, would not even turn on after 4 years, I suspect it was because the last year I used it, I used sleep mode extensively, almost every day, sometimes for a week straight, without restarting my computer. I did not have a solid state drive.

I always recommend never using sleep mode. Some have done it for years with no issues but others have had minor to serious issues. Not worth it.

I figure whats the point of sleep mode nowadays when you have computers that boot to the desktop in 6 seconds xD
With SSDs it seems unnecessary. |
