Hi all,
Sorry if this was answered before (I'm sure it was), but I'm curious if this "Digital Storm Certified Performance Series" memory is good? I'm looking at these two options: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Digital Storm Certified Performance Series 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Corsair Dominator DHX And I'm noticing they're both 1600mhz DDR3, except Corsair timings are 9-9-9-24, and the other one doesn't say. However, 8GB Digital Storm memory says it's also 9-9-9-24, so I'm assuming 16GB is the same? And if it's the same, is there any reason to pay the extra for Corasir? I thought there was gonna be more marketing around custom DS parts outlining their advantages... Anyway, another small question, while I'm talking about memory :) Is 2133mhz DDR3 really worth the extra $$$? I heard there is only like 1% performance difference between 1600 and 2133 in most real-life applications, is that true? And the fact that even some very high-end systems (up to Aventum level 1) come with 1600 by default... |

With mine, it was Corsair with plastic top inserts that matched the blue cooling fins of the mobo heatsinks.
If you want something specific, they will be happy to install it. Otherwise, asking for DS RAM will have the builders pick whatever is available at the time. Could be Corsair, could be Mushkin, could be anyone. |

As tju76 states, DS uses AData memory (as the "house brand") and they put that on my rig. It has lived up to my expectations and I am satisfied with the performance in every way.
