For those who know me, I've had a second rate system for a very long time. Well I've finally upgraded, and I figured I'd post something here with what I've gone with. Now it's not a completely new system, and it's not done yet, but here's where it is currently.

CPU - E6600 @ 2.66
Mobo - P5N-E SLI
PSU - Thermaltake  500W
RAM - 2gigs of Corsair XMS2 800MHz
HDD's - 1 300Gig Western Digital 7200rpm
             1 160Gig Western Digital 7200rpm
Optical - CD/DVD RW 20x/48x
GPU - 8800GTX 768MB (I splurged)
Soundcard - X-FI Fatal1ty (No I/O)
OS - Windows XP Pro. / Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit

Sweeet! Are you using the Stage 3 cooling to get the E6600 to 2.66GHz?
Oh and the 8800GTX is a nice splurge ;)

I'm going to be upgrading the Mobo to one of the new 780i's with DDR2. Then I'll be upgrading the CPU to a Q6600.

As for when I'm going to be on COD4... Soon. I'm finishing up the Witcher and Jericho right now, but soon...

That's cool!

I heard Jericho was meh, but the Witcher sounded pretty sweet Big%20smile

I'm still debating whether I should get CoD4 for $50 or GoW for $40 Confused

Wow man, you must be stoked! I don't know how long you had that old P4, but as someone else that did everything but administer CPR to keep an old system chugging along...

Nice! How does the performance feel versus your old computer? Quite a jump.

My new DS replaced an AMD Barton/Geforce FX-5900 computer with 1GB of RAM, so somewhat of a similar jump.

I'm pretty surprised Oblivion ran on that thing (although it was painful)....

The performance jump was incredible! I haven't played a game this smoothly since Doom 2!
