I am so happy for you guys having good experience with your new computers. I have just received my pc today, and had some problems with it, not being able to turn it on. The motherboard gives weird numbers and it starts beeping when I turn the pc on. I got so much help trying to fix the prob on phone, and they managed through the phone to help me almost build the system by myself again... still the mother board beeping !!
I am 100% sure it's not DS fault, it seems like the delay with the shiping had something to do with this, my order was delayed 2 xtra days with UPS and when I received it " Hole on the box".
When I opened the box, everything was sooo professional arranged, I was like omg, and Huged the computer!! Every driver, cable, sticker, manual, were included in a box. It looked F@$#ing Amazing.
Even though after waiting so much, since 13/12/07 till 15/01/08 and still have to turn it back, and wait again!! I will never go to a different place than DS. WHY? I admit that they really care about customers, and u will never leave sad
1-They offered me a free game (Crysis)
2-They offered me a 2nd day shiping for free
3-They are already building my new system while I am turning my first order back tomorrow. Everything is going to be new !! Case, hardwares, softwares, Cables, keyboard. they are just replacing the whole system with everything new...
Thanks ALEX !!! You are the best

My computer is scheduled to arrive this Friday, and I know how awful this must be to experience. I can only hope mine works.
It sucks that that happened, but it sounds like DS is going above and beyond to get you up and running. Any time a computer gets shipped, awful things can happen. |

Ok, now I am getting nervous. My baby is scheduled to arrive tomorrow and hopefully it survived it's journey from CA to Rochester, NY. Glad to hear DS will take care of you in these situations i it doesn't.

Don't be nervous, I guarantee you it's going to be one of the best computers u ever had in ur life. I am so sad that I am turning it back today even though it's not working. This system look so nice, u dont understand, I cant stop looking at it.
Also, UPS are going to pick it up from my place, without me paying anyhting.

Yep. You just cannot get a full appreciation of how beautiful these systems are from the photos posted in customer reviews. It's something you have to see in person.

Man, that does blow.
That was my biggest fear when mine was in transit, that the delivery company would use my box as a wheel chalk or football to toss around in the warehouse.
I was thankful that when it did get here, shipped via DHL, the box was a bit dirty but did not have a single dent in it.
Alex will hook you up.

I'm in Fayetteville NY... and mine is scheduled to be delivered today. Waiting on the UPS van as we speak! Been tracking it since it left CA.... what a long strange trip it's been.

Ghost, we told you that we didn't have "The Witcher" in stock and that we didn't carry it. If you would have selected any of the four games from our list on the website, it would of shipped already. We had to do a special order for you and we been waiting for it.
Just to put a end to it, for my sake, I went down to the local Frys here on my lunch break and purchased a copy for you and it went out today. You will receive a tracking number by the end of the day. I hope you enjoy it.

Meh, he's obviously a hard to please customer. I for one think that he has given DS an opportunity to show how they deal with the situation, and from what I've seen, they have impressed me every step of the way. It's apparent that they want him to be satisfied, no matter what it takes. To ban him would just be sweeping the problem under the rug. We all saw what happened when his original post mysteriously disappeared. Hopefully he can become the bigger man at some point, acknowledge that he had a non-typical bad experience, and move on.

With all due respect, I disagree. I disagree with, this would be sweeping a problem under the rug. He's been given an exorbitant amount of grace fron DS and many of the tolerant and patient members and regular customers. Offering someone the opportunity to express themself and voice their plight in a public forum that is also a business is risky in itself. But, too allow someone to continue on after all of the expression that has taken place can be be a detriment ultimately. A customer was unhappy. Solutions, negotiations and resolve were given for all the world to see. DS has shown enormous reserve and respect for the customer, yet this still continues. Now it becomes a matter of setting a precedent for future customers and encouraging bad behavior. I would either the customer buck up and move on if he wants to continue to post, or DS take action and does what needs to be done to protect a vital interest. Nothing is, or has, or will be swept under the rug. This is what it is now and it's time to stand. Damnit, this is a business, not a therapists couch. I think the customer needs to show some respect now and either get over it, or move on. Understand me very well, I am in no way diminishing the "bad" experience, but you cannot feed the need to be heard continuously and not suffer some consequence in it eventually. How much time is enough to spend on this drama? I'm sorry for the bad experience, but it's time to shut it down. I don't have patience for this kind of behavior. I apologize. I'll probably wind up getting banned instead... lol! Edited by EdH63 - 17 Jan 2008 at 8:42pm |

haha... I can certainly see your perspective. I agree that DS has gone out of their way to remedy the situation, and yet been shown nothing but contempt. I simply don't take banning lightly, especially since he IS a customer, and would think that a stern warning stating that a ban was imminent should this behavior continue would be more in line at this point. :) It's one thing to voice a complaint (which was addressed), and another to continually jab and berate a company on their own public forums. If you're really that unhappy, there are other avenues to vent.
In other news, I get my computer tomorrow and I'm about to pop! edit: also, congrats on the 500th post Ed Edited by Mythius101 - 17 Jan 2008 at 9:14pm |

Beleive me their is nothing worst than receiving ur $5000 system, and it doesn't work. I was upset, but not blaming DS. Things happen sometimes, still it's not DS fault... Because Why would they send me something tht doesn't work? they are paying for the shiping back/forward...They are replacing the whole system with another one.
When u take the decision and buy something from a company I think it's better to support them, help them, instead of throwing some bad posts.
I wanna ask you something ghost, be honest plz.
Put urself as if u work for DS, and u built someone's else pc. U test it for 3 days, works perfect, and really good scores. Yous send it to the customer, it doesnt work. What would u do?

Thank you everyone for understanding exactly what we see. We do our absolute best and when we hear a system have an issue, it disheartens us because we put such a big effort in making sure our customer would enjoy it. Things happen, but, when they do, we want to take care of our customers. It feels really good to hear that from you guys.
Thank you,
Alex

I recieved my system on Monday, and I've been just too happy playing all sorts of games :) I had a little problem with Crysis, but now that Catalyst drivers version 8.1 are out, crossfire seems to work very well. World in Conflict, the best looking RTS I've ever seen.
This system was put together flawlessly, looks beautiful and ran right out of the box. I checked the connections and reseated the ram before plugging it in, but it was all rock solid out of the box.
In 3 years, I'll be calling DS back for another system, I guarantee it.
Thanks,
Bill Fitz
