That DDR3 will also jack the price up.

Well they have to add in the price of actually installing the stuff...lol plus the price of electronics is always going down, but being a computer maker they have to buy a decently large stockpile from time to time, and chances are high that they still have stock from when the stuff was more expensive, and they have to transfer that into the price.

DDR3 1600 2x2 on newegg is just starting to fall below 250, the cheapest corsair w/ rebate is 199.99 but its almost always sold out. Its gone down about 45 bucks in the last 2 months, so it should continue down that trend.

Dump the sound card man you dont need it!

eh NewEgg... they offer the best price they can snag from a supplier, any supplier and they do a huge volume compared to DSO... so consider the fact that they have a ton more buying power.

You will have to check into this to make certain but i think most hardware comes with a 1-2 year warranty from the manufacturer. All dso items come with a 3 year warranty when purchased with a system + the tech support your very familiar with.

these are the warranties for each part...

GPU = lifetime upon registration within 30 days from BFG, EVGA, XFX
HDD = 3-5 years depending on model from seagate or wdc
CPU = 3 years
MOBO = 3 years
PSU = 5 years
RAM = lifetime

It means you pull some amazing things out of that biker helmet of yours at times...

Many of them timely, entertaining and factual....

Others... well lets just say they entertain on many levels...

I am just happy you are good natured and cool about it and it makes me happy to see you posting away online as it is always entertaining to chat with you on the forums.

My two bits:
Have them use a 1000W PSU Harleyman. On the off hand chance SLI ever supports your multiple monitors, you'll be able to upgrade to GTX280 SLI.

If you can afford to, do the 790i if you want max CPU overclocking and don't want to do the Intel board.

I will tell you I got the OCZ 1000W in my DSO PC and it has been solid on power, no problems at all.

Not sure if it is the best 1000W PSU out there but the reviews of the Elite XTreme (Which I have) were all excellent.

Regarding audio... I still don't know what manufacturer actually makes Razer's DAC, but I'm not sure whether that card won't utilise the CPU for processing.
Conversely, the ASUS Rampage formula has a "discrete card" audio with an Analog Devices DAC (number 2 in my book for musicality) and supports XFi.

If you're set on your mobo choices, I'd personally go with the creative XFi audio card. Still, it utilises a lesser quality DAC. Better than Realtek... but it slips my mind as to the manufacturer. In pc audio, I would rank the DAC as number three that are available from a musical point of view.

P.S. It seems many people can't actually hear the difference *cough* Sunfighter *cough, cough*, however, so just go with something with XFi...
