I sent my 2 years old DS pc in to DS. They found out I have a busted motherboard and CPU which is a i7-930 and EVGA X58 Classified 3X SLI.

So now I have a few choices and I'm not sure which to go.
I have the choice to replace both the same cpu and motherboard or upgrade (Note: My parts warranty is over so I have to pay for them).

Some of the recommendation they gave are
ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE (Intel Z77 Chipset) (Higher Overclocks and Unique Wi-Fi Features)
Intel Core i7 2700K 3.50 GHz (Unlocked CPU for Extreme Overclocking) (Quad Core)

Intel Core i7 3770K 3.50 GHz (Unlocked CPU) (Quad Core)
ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77

Intel Core i7 3820 3.6GHz (Turbo Mode up to 3.8GHz) (Quad Core)
Intel Core i7 3930K 3.2GHz (Unlocked CPU for Extreme Overclocking) (Six-Core)
ASUS Rampage IV Extreme X79 (Intel X79 Chipset) (Features USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s)
ASUS Sabertooth X79 (Intel X79 Chipset) (Features USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s)

What I'm considering now is the 3820 with the Rampage IV and adding another stick of ram for quad channel. Any recommendation or help in choosing is appreciated.

My thoughts...... If this is primarily a gaming rig go with Z77 Sabertooth and i7-3770k.    If you video edit alot or render or use Photoshop then the x79 Sabertooth for its quad channel ram and the 3820 cpu.      The 3930 , 6 core chip is for more intense editing, etc.       Hope this helps.    Good luck.
