I am thinking of adding a sound card to my rig.  It has Windows 7 Professional as the operating system.

Any suggestions on good cards with supported drivers?

Maybe I should be asking, are any of the optional sound cards from DS worth getting?

Hoping someone can answer this question as well.

When talking with Sarah she recommended Creative Labs X-Fi.

Creative is by far, to me, the best.  I have always had them and I am pleased with them and the support from the drivers.

I meant in the sense of actually functioning in newer OS's and not having the same stupid glitch for years..

mine have worked perfect in XP, Vista, windows 7 RC, and window 7. I have not had tons Creative cards, maybe 10 or 12, but no issues that I can remember.
