or on laptop? |

The thing is you cant add(as far as I know) a sound card on a laptop unless its a USB device. These USB device are called as external sound cards. There performance is same no matter where you use them( PC or a laptop) |

You can add them via PCIe x1 (maybe the x16, too) slots, I believe. However, I don’t think it makes a difference whether it’s internal or external, nor will it if it’s on a laptop or a desktop.
