yea SLI down the road. The aim is upgrading. the 4870 can handle just about every game with ease (maybe not crysis...with ease) but when the x2's come out or in 6months i'll probably snag another.
I also want to add a TV tuner, sound card and a TB HD. Right now, 2 HD's are just not tickling my fancy. But i'll work with sales and see what we can't come up with. I appreciate the $.02 Harley. |

i know they make external USB ones and some cards like the "all-in-wonders" have coaxils, but I wonder if there's more to the story....

Looks great! I like it, but with that mobo and with the 4870, it's not SLI. It's crossfireX. Similar results with same requirements of matching cards. I have no idea which is better in real applications. Benchmarks can be made to show either SLI or crossfireX as better. When you go to upgrade your audio, currently your only choice that will improve things would be an ASUS Xonar D2X or DX. Both are pretty pricey. That board comes with an Analog Devices DAC. Pretty nice IMO. Better than anything Creative has out.
