Due to popular demand, we have bumped the warranty term for the special deals from a 2 year back to a 3 year.

Alex,
If we haven't received our DS system yet...why can't it be changed back to the 3 yr warranty. This was one of my recommendations while filing out the questionaire after ordering.

I haven't received my computer yet either, but I went ahead and purchased the extra year when I ordered. I would guess that going back now and adding a year to everyone who didn't get it and refunding those who chose to purchase it, would be a logistical nightmare for DS. |

Tell you what, we do want you all to be happy with your purchase so: @Maj_Lagg, since your computer is still on the way to you, give us a call and we will bump it up to a 3 year at no cost.
@busdriver01, if you did purchase the extra 1 year for the $49, we can offer a store credit of $49 which you can use to purchase any accessories, etc...

I agree...but it doesn't hurt to beg:) Also, my point in the questionaire...was that on their website...their #1 reason for selecting DS is for their Superior 3 yr hassle free warranty. This never changed....So why punish those that still selected DS even w/o their Superior 3 yr warranty....it still shows that we are committed to them no matter what they do....besides...if it was one of their competitors....i believe they would honor it.... All they have to do is add another year to everyone...if you paid for that year...then you get 4. Not a logisital nightmare...a competive challange.

I also bought an extra year of warranty. Also picked up the computer in person, which had to save someone some money. So I guess I am jealous everyone gets the 3 years now for free, but at the same time I know it would be a mess for them to redo all the deals prior and we shouldn't punish them for giving new customers what they wanted.
I am happy with my machine and its only a $49 difference. So, oh well. I think in the future, DS should just stick with the 3 years warranty on everything to avoid the confusion and hassle of explaining the change. Just factor it into the price.

I hate to me too but... I want in on this too if you are feeling generous. I am set to recieve my computer in a couple of days (I ordered this past Thursday the 20th) and an extra year of warranty would be nice.
