SSD space: currently I have 37GB of file on that disc and the disc has a total of 111GB. So IF my math is right, I should have 74GB available, but I only have 60GB available.....so why do I lose like 14GB :I

Not sure where you got the total used space but Windows generates two files which are not accounted for in adding up the space occupied by files you created. The first is pagefile.sys which is typically about the size of physical memory and acts as virtual memory, and the second is hiberfil.sys which stores memory contents during hibernation. These files can be huge, in my case pagefile.sys in 31.9Gb (I have 32 Gb of physical memory), and hiberfil.sys is 23.9Gb. If you have 8Gb of physical memory these two files could easily account for the 'missing' disc space.
