Is the Samsung PM851 even comparable to the 850 pro? I dont see much on google and was wondering how good this drive is for just the OS and if there is a need to upgrade to a 850 pro or not. Thanks!

no, it uses inferior NAND and controller.   it's prone to slowing down with older (about a month) data. 

it is basically an 840 EVO meant for notebooks.
