boss the article you keep pointing to is almost 2 years old, out of date and the info in it no longer applies.
lot of info in your post is not correct or outdated info. All ssds are not the same and many of things mentioned don't apply to all ssds, specially the ones listed here at DS. Edited by DST4ME - 15 Mar 2010 at 5:08pm |

also now at days it is common to see 1 million to 1.5 million hours of write/ delete... so if you run your computer 24/7 constantly writing or deleting it will take over a lifetime to use up the solution... no worries mate

to second my post here is the math broken down. lets do 1 million hrs
1 mill hrs divided by 24 hrs = 4166.6666666666666667 days days divided by 365.25 (days it takes to make a year) = 114.07716130... years 1.5m hrs divided by 24 = 62500 days days divided by 365.25 = 171.11567... years so as you can see these will live longer then you will no worries mate... cheers personally i am a fan of the ocz colossus, but they are making a new line of colossus that should be about soon that is 20%- 30% faster then their already lighting speeds Edited by Raif - 15 Mar 2010 at 6:28pm |
