Before it comes to you, no. DS does not typically make any changes to a pre-built Lynx. After you get it, you can make all the changes you want, and still retain DS tech support.
I tend to prefer Samsung SSDs for quality and performance. They are not the cheapest. There are other brands that are well-established, and perform very well. I'd suggest you Google something like "best SSDs" and take a look. Any one you pick will probably have reviews you can check. Remember there are two mainstream classes of SSDs now: the traditional SATA drives, and the much faster (and more expensive) NVMexpress drives. Those use the PCIe bus on your motherboard that video cards use. You can get one that plugs into a PCIe slot just like a video card, or you can get one that looks very much like a pocket comb and fits into an M.2 slot on the front of your motherboard. Your mother board will have one of those, and it may be open. It looks like your 240GB primary drive will be a typical SATA ssd that looks like a small box. All types of SSDs come in a variety of capacities. Hope that's not TMI, but your question was pretty open-ended. |
