Hi,
Does anyone have a specific recommendation for a tray adaptor that will let me put a 2.5" SSD drive in my Aventum? My Aventum is already prewired so I just need to slide it in. |

In my experience, you don't need a tray. The 3.5 inch cages (trays) either have screw mount holes that will allow a 2.5" to be mounted in them, or the SSD comes with rails that mount within the cage. DS may have sent you some rails in your parts kit. In my now 4-year-old rig, I didn't need rails. The bottom of the cage had screw holes for both 3.5" and 2.5" drives. The whole tray slid out of the rig so I could easily fasten the 2.5" drive to it, and slid it back in. Fact is, a 2.5" SSD is so small and light, a single screw will secure it.

+! My 3.5" trays have pre-drilled and tapped holes for 2.5" drives.
